Flamingo skirt.

Who likes tutu's? I like tutu's! They come in loads of colours and are so fluffy. Why not make one? I started following the steps on how to make one on Rookie, but I didn't have enough tulle, which really sucked. That is when my brain went POP! I like punk style as well as tutu's, so why not combine the two?

I sewed the tutu onto the circle skirt, the back was cut out in such a way so the tutu stuck out. I let the edges fray and added three badges to punk it up, and guess what? I did it all by myself. :)

This picture reminds me of a flamingo. I think I'll name this creation, "The Flamingo Skirt." Teehee.

I tried making a gif. Oh yeeeeah :)

What I wore:
Black bowler hat: ?
Leather studded jacket: Dangerfield
Punk tutu skirt: Handmade
Pink fishnet stockings: Gift
Docs: Thrifted

Happy sewing

Tavi crowns.

Here are some Tavi crowns I created. This first one is made from pipe cleaners. Super easy! I've gotten some comments from this one.

This second one was quite tricky, probably because all I used was glue, but anyways, this one turned out awesome. I found the baby's in an opp shop.

I love making Tavi crowns, you should have a go. There is even a post about how to make one on Rookie. Go here. Also, loads of Rookie fans sent pictures of their crowns in. Check it out.

Thrifted.

Hey guys. Here are some outfits I put together with the rainbow hair I wore in the Whip My Hair jumpsuit post, using the Mungyo pastels.

The jacket I'm wearing here is something I bought with my christmas money. I love it to death.

What I wore:
Black Headband: Dangerfield.
Awesome studded leather jacket: Dangerfield.
Black and white polka dot dress with pink tulle: Thrifted.
Black and yellow striped stockings: Christmas gift.
Chunky platform boots: Handed down from Mum.

Mum went out to get her morning coffee and she came back and gave me this jacket. She told me she found it in the op shop and explained to me how it looks like a Tavi jacket.

This hat was thrifted too, it reminds me of Vivienne Westwood. Love it!

 What I wore:
Awesome Vivienne hat: Thrifted.
Awesome Tavi jacket (Alice McCall): Thrifted.
Black gathered dress: Thrifted.

Ha! Well look at that. I 've only just noticed this whole outfit is thrifted, and because of that lets celebrate with this rad song cause "I'm gonna pop some tags."

Happy thrifting.

Whip My Hair Jumpsuit.

During the holidays, I jumped on my sewing machine and got hardcore. I made Willow Smiths Amazing Radical Amazing Jumpsuit. I have been dying for this creation for A G E S, but I thought "Wait, I can maybe make myself one, it can't be that hard right?" it was really challenging for me but with my Mum's help, I think between us we nailed it!

A while ago, I found this amazing fabric from...wait for it, THE OP SHOP! I know right? Stoked!! I wanted the baggy crotch and we only had a metre or so of fabric, so we got some black fabric cotton and filled in the gaps by adding triangles to the outsides of the pants making the outwardy points, piping on the back, black filling in the bodice, exposed zip and eyelet tape to finish it off.

For Christmas I got Mungyo Pastels. Yeah you can use them for making art, but I rub it into my hair. My Mum tells me people like Shrinkle do it. We went nuts and my Mum used the pastels to colour my hair like a full-on rainbow.

Of course my Mum edited these photo's. She couldn't resist making a gif of me whipping my hair back and forth. My Mum posted about this Jumpsuit on her blog.

Here is the original Jumpsuit from my favourite magazine Teen Vogue, and if you haven't seen the video, here it is.

Happy hair whipping.

(Sophie B, if you are reading this, I couldn't reply to your comment, but yes I do remember you. Hey *waves* thanks for reading my blog : )
