Daily holiday sketch #8. Molly Ringwald.

Today my daily holiday sketch is of Molly Ringwald in the movie Sixteen Candles. I love what she wears in the beginning of this movie, So I definitely had to draw it. I love what she wears in the movie Pretty in Pink too. We both have the same pixie boots! \*0*/

Just before I round off this post of Molly Ringwald radness, I just want to inform y'all how much my drawings have changed. Check it out. The eyes are getting bigger and the body isn't teeny tiny. I love how my drawings look now. Don't you agree? :)

BEFORE                                                                     AFTER

IT'S REAL LIFE #3. Winona Ryder.

My next IT'S REAL LIFE drawing is of Winona Ryder. A 90's idol.
Isn't she gorgeous? I think she's awesomeeeeeee. I love her in Reality Bites and Beetlejuice. She has been in maaaaany movies, I just haven't seen them, YET! I chose this picture of Winona because it's her on her side, making her easier to draw seeing I don't have to draw symmetrical like I did with Gwenie. I have no idea who I'm going to draw next. It's so hard to find a picture of someone you think you could draw. *Sigh* Maybe I won't draw a famous person next time. I'll draw a random. :)

Here is the original picture. Do you think I did a good job?

Daily holiday sketch #7. Meadham Kirchhoff.

I think I have already mentioned I am obsessed with Meadham Kirchhoff. The adorable clothing they make is just so.....dreamy. So todays daily sketch is of one of their designs from their spring/summer 2012 collection. Well, I kinda mixed things up a bit. I chose different bits from different models. I got inspired by Rookie. They show you all sorts of Meadham Kirchhoff stuff. Its heaven.

Pretty in Pink

I woke up early this morning to go to the market. I was so excited, I love getting dressed up. Today I wore an all pink outfit. The dress I'm wearing is a nighty my mum thrifted for me. She got rid of the long granny sleeves, which made it more wearable. Going out to the market is a perfect excuse to wear my extreeeemly cosy creepers. They worked perfect with the outfit seeing they were pink. :)

Now, what did I find? Well, not many bargains this time. My dad bought me a delicious jam doughnut which I gobbled down the moment I had it in my hands, aaaaaand a pair of glasses, but no ordinary glasses. ANDY glasses. From Pretty in Pink. Now I have Duckie glasses AND Andy glasses. YAY!

When you go out market thrifting there are quite a lot of records laying around. I think my Mum, Dad and I looked through every box of records at the market today. But the only record I was interested in was this Maddonna record, "Like a virgin." Woohoo! Another record to add to my teeny weeny collection. :)

What I wore:
- Flower headband: Handmade.
- Flower glasses: Diva.
- Button ring: Exhibition shop.
- Flower earrings: Diva.
- Cupcake necklace: Diva.
- I love you badge: Two dollar shop?
- Nighty: Thrifted and D.I.Yed.
- Pink jacket: Thrifted and D.I.Yed.
- Frilly socks: Dangerfield.
- Creepers: Gift.

Daily holiday sketch #6. Pinterest inspiration.

Today I took inspiration from my best friend, Pinterest. In one of my latest posts I revealed some of my favourite pins. I showed you this radical girl, and now I have finally decided to draw her. You couldn't see what shoes she was wearing in the picture. So, I peeked in my shoe board and gave her these beauties. Do they look familiar? I showed you these shoes in the same post as the radical girl. "Here's some cool pins" is what the post was called.
I need to make this outfit. Well, I can't make shoes but I will hunt them down. Mwahahahahah. :)

Handmade garment #1 AND 2

OH MY GLOB, I'VE MADE TWO GARMENTS!!
I made this dress out of this creepy halloween fabric I found at the op-shop A.G.E.S ago. I've been wanting to make a dress out of it for as long as I've had the fabric. I found this pattern at the op-shop too, but when I finally said to myself, "Yeah! I'm gonna make this dress now!", the pattern was for a size seven girl! It sucked. My mum helped me out though, and redrew the pattern to fit my size.(Thanks mummy >.<) I'm very happy with how it turned out, except for the length. It's pretty skanky without some incredibly, adorable bloomers underneath. So, since it was easy, I made Handmade garment #2 straight away. I think I'm addicted to them, the bloomers. I'm wearing them right now with one out of fifty possible outfits I could wear them with. I think Handmade garment #3, 4, and 5 might be a start to my new bloomer collection.

What I wore:
- Troll doll badge: Handmade by mwah.
- Spooky halloween dress: Handmade by mwah.
- Bird belt: Dangerfield
- Black bloomers: Handmade by mwah.
- Gaga gloves: Dangerfield.
- Knee high converses: Thrifted.

Daily holiday sketch #5. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is one of the most A-DOR-A-BLE people everrrrrrrrr. I drew her in her music video "Pon pon pon." So, cute! >.<

P.S. I will be posting about my new handmade garment (/garments, or maybe its just one. OHHHH so exciting!) tomorrow. I spent the whole day sewing and didn't get enough time to take pics. So, yeaaaah!

Daily holiday sketch #4. Scrapbook inspired.

This morning, I woke up to a poweroutage. So, as you could imagine I couldn't get any inspiration from the internet to draw my daily sketch. (IT WAS TERRIBLE! D:) But I still had my trusty scrapbook of fashion inspiration (:D YAY!) And here is how it turned out.

IT'S REAL LIFE #2. Gwen Stefani.

Here is IT'S REAL LIFE #2. Gwen Stefani! I drew this yesterday, but thought I would post it today seeing I already posted two times. This picture was very hard to draw because she is looking straight at you, and you have to draw it symmetrical. I think I did a good job :)
I am currently making myself a dress AKA. Handmade garment #1. I will post about it tomorrow though.

TOTORO! Oh...and my outfit

Have I ever mentioned I L.O.V.E Totoro? Wait...you haven't heard of him? He is an adorable, fluffy, spiritual creature in one of Hayao Miyazaki's fantasy movies.

Totoro is one of my favourite animated characters EVER (right beside EVERYONE from Adventure Time). When I first moved to Melbourne, I bought myself a stuffed Totoro! I know I'm fifteen, but...I cuddle him while I'm asleep. >.< I have been for five years! I take him to sleepovers, when I'm visiting my cousins over in Sydney, and I'm gonna take him to my school camp too. I don't care what people say. He is my cuddle buddy \ >.< /
Other characters I love in "My Neighbour Totoro" are the Soot Sprites! Some people call them Soot Bunnies, but Soot Sprites is what I like best. So, I thought I'd add them to my pictures. AHHHH, so cute :3

I should describe what I'm wearing now. Hehe.

What I wore:
-Handmade Binoculars: I wore this with my Suzy outfit quite a while ago.
-Black dress: Vintage make from my mum.
-Black pixie boots: Thrifted for $2!!!!!!!! I know it's cray cray!

   ^ ^

(^^^)   <---- DID YOU SEE THAT! DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID???!!!

Daily holiday sketch #3. Marceline.

Does anybody here watch Adventure Time? Anybody? Well, I do! And it's one of the raddest cartoons EVER INVENTED! I don't have a favourite character, I love them all! Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Lumpy Space Princess. They are all so RA-DI-CAL! But today I've drawn Marceline. The singing, bass guitar playing vampire. OH MY GLOB! She is so cool!

I watched an episode of Adventure Time last night, and my favourite part of it was when Finn, Jake, Marceline and Princess Bubblegum were singing together. I've been singing this song all day today and force you all to do the same. So, yeah! \ >.< /

IT'S REAL LIFE #1. Tavi.

IT'S REAL LIFE! AND IT'S TAVI! Do you like it? Does it look like her? I don't want to toot my own horn, but.....I love it! I found the eyes particularly hard to draw. They're always hard, I think I nailed it though. Yippee! :) One down, four more to go.

Daily holiday sketch #2. Polly Bland.

Today's daily holiday sketch is of a new discovery, Polly Bland. She is a blogger who blogs about her cheerful vintage outfits and bright pink hair. Check her out here. Her blog is named The Littlest Polly <3

Daily holiday sketch #1 (yesterday's)

NO! I didn't forget my very first sketch of the day thingy! I just couldn't get to the computer yesterday, so I'm posting it now.
To start my holiday challenge off, I drew what I wore yesterday.

Accessorise like there's no tomorrow. Also, my holiday challenge!

I love this outfit. I used quite a lot of accessories in it, which is why this post is named "Accessorise like there's no tomorrow." This is the first time I've worn my Frida Kahlo badge and this pom-pom headband. I made this headband yonks ago during my pom-pom phase, and never wore it because I thought it looked silly. But look how freakin' AWESOME it looks with this outfit. It's like, so radical. Right?

What I wore:
- Pom-pom headband: Handmade.
- Ice cream earrings: Diva, I think.
- Rearrangeable letter necklace: Diva, I think :)
- Frida Kahlo badge: Handmade.
- Edie Sedgwick t-shirt: Thrifted.
- Pink skirt with suspenders: Thrifted, then D.I.Yed.
- White frilly socks: Dangerfield.
- Black saddle shoes: Ebay.

Before I end this post, I want to announce that it is now school holidays! Yay! I've got two weeks of it and want to make it worthwhile. I usually sit around and do absolutely NOTHING! (C'mon, it's what teens do) So, I'm gonna change that, and give myself a challenge.

During the holidays, I have to:

  • Sew five garments.
  • Draw five 'IT'S REAL LIFE' drawings. (Here's my first one) I want to draw these more often. So, yeah. >.<
  • Draw one of my cartoons every day.

Every time I do one of these, I will post about it. Hopefully you will see a sketch of one of my cartoons everyday, see one of five garments once and a while, and so on. Wish me luck \^.^/

Hayley Williams. My obsession.

These drawings of Hayley Williams are my favourite outfits she's worn. The first sketch is of Hayley in her 'I'm still into you' music video, and the second is of her at the 2013 Kids Choice Awards. Once again, I am creepily obsessed and just HAD to draw these.

I like, totally love art class

Here it is. My weird sculpture thingy I made in art class like I promised I'd show you. It probably looks pretty, it probably looks scary, but you know what? That's the point. This was VERY time consuming as you could imagine, and my finger nearly deformed with the amount of times I burnt it with the hot glue gun. It was definitely worth it though. It kind of looks like an Oscar trophy, but I called it Natural Beauty. Dramatic I know, but it's the best thing I could think of beside the lyrics from Bohemian Rapsody. "Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?" Natural Beauty reminds my mum of Leigh Bowery \^.^/ Yay!

After we learnt about Salvador Dali, I was jumping with excitement about who we were going to learn about next. ANDY WARHOL! Of course I already now a little about this mysterious man, but the best part of this art class was we were going to paint our very own Pop Art picture! and we could choose who we could paint! I knew straight away who I was going to do. Edie Sedgwick!

I don't think there are enough pics on this post. So why not add some of Mr PePe? He's such a poser, right? He sooooo gets it from me. Hehe.

Sixteen Candles vibe-y skirt.

Oh My Glob! I've been sewing!
I made the skirt in this outfit. My Nan gave me this pretty plaid fabric last time I visited her. I was going to make a dress out of it, but I decided to make another skirt like this. (IT HAS POCKETS!) Molly Ringwald inspired me in one of my favourite movies, Sixteen Candles. Here is a picture of what she was wearing that made me feel oh-so, inspired! I was going to wear my white pixie boots with this outfit, but I haven't worn these shoes yet, and they go with the Sixteen Candles/Pretty in Pink vibe also.

What I wore:
- Vivienne hat: Thrifted.
- Watch necklace: Diva, or some other jewellery store I dunno.
- Ring with a lady on it: Thrifted.
- Tavi shirt: Dangerfield.
- Plaid skirt (WITH POCKETS): Handmade.
- Black granny boots: Thrifted.

Freshly sprayed creepers.

I love my legs in this picture. Hehe.

Here's just a little something I wore on the weekend. I've finally gotten to wear my creepers after the five weeks it took for me to get off my butt and spray them with this weird smelling suede spray.
(Watching TV is a busy schedule, okay?!)

What I wore:
- Purple flowers in hair: Thrifted.
- Gaga paparazzi glasses (my favourite by the way): Dangerfield.
- Dress: Sold at a $250 discount at Camberwell market. *In a high pitched voice* Bargain!
- Frilly white socks: Dangerfield.
- Pink creepers: Birthday prezzie.

Here's some cool pins.

Other than adding hilariously strange descriptions to every board on my Pinterest, I was pretty happy about what I found to add to them. Every time I looked at these inspiring images, I felt I wanted to do something outrageous! Instead I figured I would just show them to you and be on my way. So, yeah.
